LARGE-SCALE ARCHITECTURE
BOILER HOUSE LONG SECTION
NTS
The large-scale architectural gesture is a representation of the negative impacts that humans have taken on the climate. This cage-like insertion into the existing structure allows optimal lighting to enter the Boiler House through the additional skylight, as well as through the transparency of materiality. The materials used to create this insertion is ETFE Foil, as well as Caesin Protein, which are both notably sustainable materials.
